OUGD503 - Responsive [SB1] - Landbay Project Evaluation
On final analysis of the Landbay project I undertook, I'm very happy with the final result and I feel like I have learnt the importance of concept from this, and how a good concept will practically design itself. In the past, I have been too focused on designing a product that I forget how good the concept behind the product is, and I feel this confuses the audience on what I am trying to design. On this project however, I was able to put the emphasis on what the app does instead of trying to pull the wool over the audience's eyes with flashy design.

As you can see, I tried to maintain the same colour theme and tone throughout the whole app in order to create a clear message to send to my audience. The mix of simple colours mixed with duotone images make for an easy-to-use minimalistic app that tries to break down the barriers of finance. I think my designs really match my concept well and they build on the concept instead of overpowering it.
OUGD503 - Responsive [SB1] - Landbay Final Presentation
I'm extremely happy with my final presentation for Landbay, as I feel I have achieved a level of professional design that I haven't been able to achieve before. Not only in aesthetic quality, but I feel the concept behind my design is very strong and applies well to the brief. I feel I was beginning to add too much to the project and overcrowd it, so I had to make the tough decision of ending my work on it before it became too crowded, and I have not yet completed my final brief which is due very soon.

OUGD501 - COP - Practical: Poster Designs
The campaign for my adverts will follow a series of phrases motivating the audience to "liberate" themselves as such as being able to review products freely and without bias from the companies themselves. I hope to achieve this through direct address and trying to relate to people's feelings about advertising in general.

OUGD501 - COP - Practical: A global review platform
With my COP topic being on the future of advertising, I thought I would use the content of my essay to inform the work I create. With such an emphasis on word of mouth being the most powerful advertising tool available to companies, I have decided to create a platform for the world to review whatever they want. From bicycles, to books, to babysitting services, everything will be able to be reviewed and categorised. I think this would be an extremely helpful tool for everyone involved, however the main drawback would be trying to attract an audience in the first place as obviously the website becomes more useful the more people there are reviewing on it.
I think one of the most effective ways to attract the audience I need to the website would be to give the audience power over what they see. The website would be decided by the audience, instead of for the audience. This links in with the ethos of the website as the audience controls the majority of the content they see, and with it running as a small-scale democracy, the target audience will feel in control and of worth to the website.
An issue with this website however would be by means of funding. Ethically, the website would never be able to accept donations from companies in fear of becoming corrupt and tipping the scales of reviews for the companies who are able to offload massive amounts of money. The same goes for having advertisements on the websites for companies, as that would seem unfair and contradictory to the mission statement of the company itself.
